time to introduce the youngsters
We cant win anything or qualify for europe this season, we should finish mid table, surely now is the time to test the likes of oxford, fletcher, quina, martinez , browne and others if they are up to it we will save 20 million on another overpriced import, if they are not up to it we can let them leave the club.
For some it may be too early but surely worth giving them a chance.

I have no problem with Oxford getting a start but I'd rather wait till we are safe before introducing the youngsters.

The priority is to grind out another 20 points and then we can think about experimtation.
Don't believe too many are exactly knocking on the door, they are a very average bunch

Re: time to introduce the youngsters
No, when we hit 40 points will be the time to introduce youngsters if they are up to it, not just because a section of our support are obsessed with playing youngsters. To do it now would be gambling with our premier league status. In my opinion of course.

Re: time to introduce the youngsters
one of the Reece's should have been played at right back this year. I'm sick of the Viking, he's clearly piss poor and though very enthusiastic, will never be a defender

Toni Martinez would be the one getting the nod for me.

Up top is a position in which we've been so woeful he can't do any worse than the rest.

Burke and Cullen are both good enough to play in this team call them back from their loan spells.
Shouldn't be on loan anyway.

maybe the odd or two but we need more points first, i'd love to see samuelsen get the odd game though.

Re: time to introduce the youngsters
Samuelsen has just gone on loan for the rest of the season to Peterborough. Burke and Cullen are both on season long loans at Wigan and Bradford.
No reason not to give Oxford a few games in place of Ogbonna who is really irritating me now with his lack of composure.

I'd like to see Oxford and Fernandes as regulars by the end of the season.
Martinez surely deserves a bench spot soon.

Agree with the OP concept but may be a few more points on the Board before we do.

Re: time to introduce the youngsters
The time to introduce youngsters is in League Cup games or when we're 3-0 up in PLYMOUTH games, so they will just have to be patient. So will you.

Plymouth? Fuck this predictive text. PL games.

How is it that Chelsea have recalled the kid from Bournemouth he was on a season long loan?

Re: time to introduce the youngsters
Fuck knows what's going on with byram, but we basically don't have a right back. I can't see any reason why Oxford or Fernandes shouldn't be tried there - they can't do any worse than what we've seen his season, and youngsters generally get the support of the crowd and when they do well, teallybgetbeveryone going.

Martinez should have been used up front off he bench by now too.

Re: time to introduce the youngsters
Given how quick we are to judge the players, can you just imagine the slaggings off they'd get if they aren't on their game and seasoned pros in a matter of seconds?

When we're safe, play them. But not en masse like Fatty did. Bleed them in one at a time.

Martinez has only trained with the first team once this season.

Lertie Button says that our youngsters are Bang Average. I'd like to see them given a chance because at this point in time even Bang Average would be better up front and at RB, then the shite we've been served up week after week.

We say we can't risk it but can we afford NOT to risk it? We're not that far away from a relegation battle as it is!

Maybe the two Reece's, Martinez and Burke aren't better but until we give them a couple of games, well never know. They surely can't be worse than Nordtviet or Antonio at RB or Callieri or Zaza up front?
